A Little About Myself

How I Became a Pet Sitter

I’ve always loved animals and taking care of them is my passion. I have had pets all my life, from cats and dogs to horses, monkeys and pheasants. In the past 15 years, I have worked as a Veterinarian assistant, managed a dog kennel and volunteered with animal rescue groups.  I even adopted a few pets of my own. Most of my rescue pets had lived a tough and stressful life in shelters before finding their forever home. It was because of this, and the type of facilities that were available for animal care, that I decided to start my business.  I took it upon myself to get educated in pet 1st aid and learn about the animals that I was unfamiliar with. I started At Home Pet Sitting in 2014  and now have the opportunity to share my love of animals with my clients and pet owners all over the One Hundred Mile House area. My business is dedicated to making animals feel at peace and keeping them in their normal routine while their owners are away while catering to each animals individual needs. This is my chosen career and I strive to provide the best care possible for all animals and to offer a professional service, with the standards that I would expect for my own pets. Whether it’s walking your dog, feeding your cat, or taking care of your farm animals while you’re away, I always provide a quality service and an enjoyable experience for your pet. I hope I get the chance to meet your lovely pet soon.

Why you should hire a professional pet sitter

Most of us are on a budget, have had a bad experience in the past or are simply overwhelmed with idea of finding a pet care solution. We've surely all been in a position, where we leave our pet care needs to the last minute. It is always recommended to look for a pet sitter before you actually need one. You will need to have interviews with your potential pet sitter and you may even want to do a trial run, to see how your animal does with this sitter. Also in the event of an emergency, you will know that you have someone you can count on and won't need to rely on family or friends.
